Fernando A. Castillo A.
Graduated from Universidad Católica Santa María la Antigua, Republic of Panama, Faculty of Law and Political Science, with a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science (1995); holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree (1997) from American University, Washington College of Law, Washington DC, United States.
He is a Founding Partner of FACA Abogados, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, civil and commercial contracts, tax and financial structuring, the establishment and management of companies in various jurisdictions, as well as private interest foundations.
On August 2, 2023, the National Bar Association recognized his prominent and outstanding legal career in Commercial Law by awarding him the Eduardo Morgan Medal, the highest distinction conferred to lawyers in the Republic of Panama in the field of Commercial Law. Additionally, he was appointed as a member of the International Services Commission of the same Bar Association.
On August 11, 2025, the National Bar Association awarded him the Jorge Illueca Sibauste Medal for his outstanding participation in the international defense of Panamanian jurisdiction and the adaptation of national legislation, aimed at achieving, among other things, greater transparency, in his capacity as Coordinator of the Subcommittee known as Law 32, which is part of the International Services Commission of the National Bar Association.
